2017 Newborns | WV Portrait + Wedding Photographer

If you know me well, you know I love to snuggle me some babies! And in keeping with every previous year, I had to share a collage of all the little wee ones I had the most wonderful privilege of photographing this year!!

This year was by far the most babes ever captured in one year for me, and I am just thrilled! 64 newborn sessions folks! And I just loved snuggling with each of them and being able to capture their very first portraits!

In addition to all the babies I got to capture, by the end of this year I will have also photographed 11 weddings, 80 mini sessions (seasonal and holiday), 13 maternity sessions, 15 mermaids, 7 seniors, 6 engagements, and 53 full family and children sessions (not including the families with newborns). (This also doesn't include my commercial work or headshots). That's a grand total of 249!!! WOAH, what a year, guys!! I seriously cannot thank each of you enough for allowing me such a wonderful honor of capturing these precious moments for you! It was sincerely my absolute pleasure!!!

I am looking forward to 2018 with lots of joy and excitement and can't wait to see many of your faces again and lots of new ones too!!

This year our Fall Mini Sessions will again be very similar to previous years in that we will be offering them on multiple dates and at several different available locations.

These sessions are $195 (plus tax) and include: 25 minutes, digital image collection via direct download (+ rights to reprint), and 15% off professional prints. Because digital files are included, you can use them for personal printing as well as gifts and Holiday Cards. Dates include the evenings of: Sept. 29, Sept. 30, and Oct. 1. All of our locations are within the Morgantown/Fairmont areas and make very lovely images to add to your collection.

2017 - Mermaid Portrait Sessions | WV Portrait + Wedding Photographer

I am very excited to offer Mermaid Portrait Sessions again this summer (into early fall)!

These sessions will include 15-20 minutes of shooting time, 7-10 fully edited {high resolution} images with reprint rights, and an online viewing gallery. Pricing is $75 (for one mermaid) and an additional $35 (per extra mermaid). A $40 deposit is required to book with the remaining balance due at the time of the session.

I am so super excited to offer Mermaid Portrait Sessions during these next couple of weeks while summer weather plans to hang around!!!

These sessions will include 15-20 minutes of shooting time, 7-10 fully edited {high resolution} images with reprint rights, and an online viewing gallery. Pricing is $75 (for one mermaid), and an additional $35 (per extra mermaid). A $40 deposit is required to book with the remaining balance due at the time of the session.

Oh boy did it pour the rain just as we started shooting Anne and Jeremy's engagement portraits last week (at Rich Farms in Smithfield, Pa)! Lucky for us, Anne came prepared with loads of her collectibles and fancy clothes so that we could set the stage for a romantic styled indoor shoot. I love how it all came together!

Thankfully the rain cleared, and we were able to roam around the farm (and in the scary "castle") for quite the variety of scenes! Jeremy has worked at the farm for years, which allowed for our VIP roaming privileges! ;-) For those of you who have visited Rich Farms, you know that they have a pretty impressive array of props, landscapes, land, etc to use and explore! (If you haven't been to the farm or nursery, I highly suggest checking out their annual events or just visiting their massive flower/tree nursery. It's incredible!). :-)

I am so very excited to see these two gorgeous people again in October for their beautiful fall wedding that will be held at Lakeview Resort and Spa!

And they couldn't resist having a bit of fun in one of the creepy rooms with a gown that had been donated to the farm. :-)

Addie & Nathan's Wedding | WVU Art Museum | WV Wedding + Portrait Photographer

When Addie called to ask me to photograph her wedding, I couldn't have been more thrilled! She is one of the most bubbly and joyful people I've ever met, and I knew her wedding was going to be a lot of fun! So of course I said YES! :-)

Nathan and Addie's entire wedding celebration was held at the WVU ART MUSEUM in Morgantown, WV. Their ceremony took place on the large back patio. For portraits of the bride and groom alone and with their bridal party we hopped across the lawn in front of the WVU Rec Center, and the rest of the evening and reception fun was all indoors (with the exception of the outdoor late evening circle of sparklers and singing "Country Roads"!). The day couldn't have been more perfect! And although Addie and Nathan's wedding day took place on quite possibly what felt like one of the hottest days of the year, not one guest complained, and everyone was so full of joy to be celebrating alongside them. It was so beautiful, and we loved every second of it!

Congratulations, Addie and Nathan!!! Thank you both so much for allowing us to be a part of your day!

This year our Fall Mini Sessions will be very similar to previous years in that we will be offering them on multiple dates and at several different available locations.

These sessions are $195 (plus tax) and include: 25 minutes, images on disc (+ rights to reprint), and 15% off professional prints. Because digital files are included, you can use them for personal printing as well as gifts and Holiday Cards.

Daniel and Taylor were wed on August 31, 2014 at Brookedale Farms in Fort Ashby, WV. Their outdoor ceremony was a very beautiful event. The weather, gathering of loved ones, and bridal party couldn't have been more perfect. Shortly following the ceremony, the reception was held inside the lodge, where the celebration continued throughout the evening.

On June 7, 2014 we had the most wonderful honor of photographing Ashley and David's gorgeous wedding celebration! The couple began their day getting ready at the beautiful venue Benton Grove in Morgantown, WV, where the reception and evening festivities were to be held. Shortly after their sweet and romantic "first look", the couple along with their wedding party, headed downtown for a few shots on the WVU campus. Their beautiful ceremony and exchanging of vows took place at the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Their day couldn't have been more perfect in our opinion... the gorgeous weather, the beautiful venue and landscapes, the presence of many loved ones, a magnificent sunset to end the evening, and of course, the stunning bride and groom.

We thank both Ashley and David again for allowing us the privilege of being a part of their very special day! May they be blessed with many years of love, joy, and happiness!

Erin and Ryan were married on a very beautiful spring day with a small gathering of family and friends at Chestnut Ridge Park. I just really enjoyed spending time with him. We shot his session at the playground at his school, and it was just the perfect spot! I'm hoping to get to see this sweet little guy again soon!

2014 Fall Mini Sessions

This new, crisp chill in the air has gotten us so excited for Autumn to arrive and for our upcoming Fall Mini Sessions!

This year we will be offering our Fall Mini Sessions a little bit different than in past years. Instead of having our sessions take place on one day and at one location, we will have multiple dates to choose from and several different available locations. These sessions are $175 (plus tax) and include: 30 minutes, 15 images on disc (+ rights to reprint), and 15% off professional prints. Because digital files are included, you can use them for personal printing as well as gifts and Holiday Cards. Dates include: Sept. 28, Oct. 1, 7, 15 (evenings), Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. All of our locations are within the Morgantown/Fairmont areas and make very lovely images to add to your collection.

I'm so glad Scott and Lindsey decided to brave the chill for their wintry e-session at the park with me last weekend. Other than being a tad on the chilly side (and by tad, I mean tremendously! - right around 16 degrees), the conditions really were perfect. The cloud covered sky provided the large softbox of gorgeous light for our session, and the lightly snow covered ground canvased our scene. I couldn't have been more pleased or had a more enjoyable time with these two. And I am so very excited to have the wonderful opportunity to see them again this summer on their wedding day!

We had the wonderful honor of photographing my brother's wedding on the third of January, two thousand and fourteen, in Franklin, WV. My brother, Brandon, and his lovely new wife, Haley, had a gorgeous wintry wedding surrounded by many friends and family. This wedding was indeed a truly magical winter wonderland scene that included the beautiful snow covered ground, lovely lavenders and blues throughout the details, and the sparkles and shimmers of the chandeliers and string lights. This was a true fairy tale event for all who attended. We deeply wish these newly weds the most amazing life together and years filled with much happiness and many blessings!

The conditions were absolutely perfect the morning of this gorgeous maternity shoot. The ground was covered with a light dusting of snow, the sky was filled with a cloud covered soft box, and the couple was glowing from the excitement of soon becoming brand new parents. I had such a fun time photographing this gorgeous family a couple of weeks ago! The weather was very much in our favor, and the autumn trees and fallen leaves added the perfect touch of texture and beauty to our scene. I couldn't be happier with how these turned out, and I thank the sweet "B" family for allowing me the honor of capturing these precious moments in their lives!

And I had to share.... This makes the second year this family has asked me to design and print their Christmas Cards for them, which I totally LOVED doing! Isn't this just too adorable?!! (Oh, and don't worry, they gave me permission to spoil their surprise!!).

Jake and his big brother, Jack, were just too precious to photograph during Jake's newborn portraits. These two little boys are going to grow up the best of friends. Jack just adores smothering his little brother with lots of love and cuddles. And Jake was such an angel for me when I was placing him in all the different positions and in various baskets and other props. I could have seriously spent my whole day (or week even!) with these little men. I am just thrilled to get to see them back again when Mr. Jake turns six months old!

Felicia and Stephen's wedding day was on the very last day of summer and was set in the beautiful mountains of Seneca Rocks and Smoke Hole Resort of Cabins, West Virginia. And while it rained most of the celebration, this bride and groom could not have had a happier glow from being surrounded by all who love them and who came to share in their union as husband and wife. Toward the end of the evening, all were blessed with a beautiful rainbow as if icing on the cake to add as a gorgeous finish to this couple's grand event. Heather and Nathan were married at the end of the summer on a gorgeous farm near Philippi, West Virginia. Their day could not have been more beautiful. The weather was perfect. The suits and gowns were elegant. And I must say, the many handmade details, from the mason jar candle holders filled with bird seed to the burlap table runners and flowers to even the table toppers made from the trunks of their very own trees were exquisitely designed and showcased for this very special event. We had a delightful time photographing this sweet couple along with their family and friends, and we wish both Heather and Nathan a future filled with much love and happiness!

Erin and I go way back, all the way to elementary school, so naturally I was just too excited when she contacted me to photograph her engagement session and wedding. For her and Ryan's e-session we met on a beautiful farm in Bruceton Mills. I was more than thrilled to shoot at this location soon after arriving. We had the fields, the barns, the trees, and we had the view! Oh, and I could never forget to mention their sweet pup, Marley. Isn't he just the cutest?! I had a great time catching up with Erin during this shoot, and I am really looking forward to seeing these two again next spring when they say "I do!".

Mr. Merric recently turned ONE, and I was lucky enough to capture this precious milestone for him! We had a fun session at the park playing in the grass, swinging on the swings, and going down the slides. This was certainly the perfect locale for this energetic little guy's portraits, and it wouldn't have been complete without Merric's older brother, Maddex, there to join in on the fun!
